Tuesday: There are many versions of crazy

Diana took one look at that file and she knew Charles had to either lose a limb or get off her team. As Matthew went through each activity and the funds allocated, she couldn’t help but tap her left foot.

As he started working on the second phase of the project, she said “Look, there’s quite a lot missing from this file, how about I print out the right budget and we can look at it?”

“What do you mean?”

“Didn’t you hear a word I said?”

“I heard you, but I asked you what you meant. The two are very different.”

“We made amendments to the budget after talking to the client and I believe they were not factored into this file. I am sorry about the slight mix-up, I’ll have Charles bring you the file.”

“Thank you and we can look at it at around four in the evening.”

“Why four?”

“I have two meetings to attend today and I would like a break from numbers. Do you have a deadline?”

“Who doesn’t?”

“Okay…um, so when do you want us to go through this then?”

“I’m printing the document and we are taking a look at it now, when’s your meeting?”

“In half an hour.”

“Let’s take a look and see what we can get done in that time.”
