I love you like Cocoa,

Rich, dark, bitter…dry, brewed, roasted.

I love you like Cocoa,

Slender, slighted, sentimental…how is it then that your eyes flicker and your soul wanes?

How is it then that you slip through my fingers every time I grasp you?

I love you like Cocoa,

You who dares to bare your soul,

You who saves yourself, a tiny spark for every person you meet, leaving nightlights wherever you go.

You who dares to demand a ransom of mine,

You who knows what to say to get what you want.

Is it not obvious this love of mine?

Is it not like the muddy waters you cross in your village, dirty, blurry but still runs deep?

I love you like Cocoa, but we both know how tumultuous that kind of love is.
